1st Annual Tuscaloosa Veteran's Honor Walk

  • Time: 10 a.m. 
  • Location: Tuscaloosa Veterans Affairs Medical Center
    3701 Loop Rd, Tuscaloosa, AL 35404
  • Description: This is an inclusive walk for all veterans, families, and loved ones.

Veterans Appreciation Day presented by Mercedes-Benz US International

  • Time: 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.
  • Location: Tuscaloosa Veterans Affairs Medical Center
    3701 Loop Rd, Tuscaloosa, AL 35404
  • Description: Experience a day on the grounds of Alabama’s most beautiful VA Facilities! Special music provided by: 151st Army Band, pride of the US Army and favorite in the State of Alabama Lauren Brooke, Tuscaloosa’s newest performing artist will charm you with old favorites and original tunes. Lunch & beverages graciously provided by Chick-fil-a of Tuscaloosa and Buffalo Rock/Pepsi. Along with live music, guests will get to enjoy:

Veterans Appreciation & Awards Dinner presented by Bama by Distance

  • Time: 5 p.m.
  • Location: NorthRiver Yacht Club
    3100 Yacht Club Way NE, Tuscaloosa, AL 35406
  • This is the only ticketed event for the weekend that does cost.  Tickets must be purchased separately.
  • Cost: $35 per person & $60 per couple (Call 205-391-9200 to purchase) 
  • Plated, full service dinner by NorthRiver Yacht Club, Cash Bar

Statue Honoring the Legacy of Alabama World War I Soldiers Dedicated on August 28th

  • This is NOT a part of Alabama Veterans Reunion - we at Tuscaloosa Tourism & Sports wanted you to be aware of this event taking place the Monday following the reunion
  • Time: 5 p.m.
  • Location: Montgomery Union Station
    210 Water Street, Montgomery, AL 36104
  • What: A bronze sculpture of the Rainbow Soldier from British sculptor James Butler, R.A., will be inaugurated in front of Montgomery’s historic Union Station from where, on that date 100 years ago, the 167th U.S. Infantry Regiment left Alabama to join the Rainbow Division in World War I.
